Review: Urth Caffe

Nestled on the corner of Main St. and Hollister Ave. is the lovely Urth Caffe. Its unobtrusive, beige façade can be overlooked if you’re in a hurry, but once inside, there is nothing commonplace about it. The bustle of people lining up to order, the chatter of people already seated, and the water fountain trickling on its outdoor patio, can be heard when you first step inside. Urth maintains a wonderful café atmosphere with exceptionally delicious drinks, treats and meals. Although it is a little pricey, it is well worth it.

Once you’re seated, (and I recommend doing so outside!) you’ll be faced with the very tough decision of choosing between numerous breakfast omelets, tantalizing soups, fresh salads, delectable paninis and bountiful brunch entrees. If you’re there for breakfast, I suggest starting your day off right with a Mushroom Omelet. It’s a simple dish with brilliant flavor and is the perfect portion to fill you up without weighing you down. As for lunch, definitely consider trying the Urth Quesadilla. It is packed with Monterey Jack cheese and grilled chicken and served with black beans, salsa and guacamole on the side. It’s pure, rich flavors make it one of my favorites to order. Now, if you’re really stressing over what to order, rest assured that whatever choice you make, will be a great choice- you won’t be disappointed with anything on their menu! Also, if you feel like having something especially delightful to drink, do not hesitate to order a “Thai Ice Teaser” boba or Italian Cappuccino. In fact, Urth boasts totally organic coffee from their own brand.

All in all, whether you’re in need of breakfast, lunch or just a quick coffee break, Urth Caffe is a fantastic choice. Enjoy!
