The Annual May Gathering

May first is fast approaching! While seniors will have made a final commitment to which school they will be attending in the fall, Pacifica’s incoming freshman will be touring the community that will become their new home. Starting at 5:30 pm on Friday, new faces will sprinkle the white top, sporting their new green and blue sweatshirts.

New Seawolves will be able to walk from panel to panel talking to Pacifica representatives in their fields of expertise. Arts, athletics, technology, admissions, service, and travel prefects will be available for 8th graders to ask all the questions to their hearts desire. The informational portion of the Gathering gives the incoming freshman a great opportunity to educate themselves on their four year journey they have yet to take.

Amidst the loud chatter about the school, students will be found rummaging through Mills wear finding the right fit for their new uniforms. A plethora of sweaters, collars, skirts, and khakis, used and new, will cover school grounds. Just off campus, an In-N-Out Burger truck will be available for families to order as many burgers as they want. This is all exciting, but this is not all. Students will be led into the gym to do activities and engage their new class.
The May Gathering has become a special tradition in Pacifica’s history. One day, the freshman class of 2019 will look back on the day they first emersed in the new community, and see their growth. The Gathering is not merely a school event, it is a celebration of new beginnings.
